iCatcher! Podcast Player App Reviews

Used it for years

I love this app! It is so easy to use. I bought it quite a few years ago when I was having so many problems with the podcast app. I am very pleased. I dont even mess with the Apple podcast app.

Excellent app

I was so frustrated with the bugs in the Apple podcast app I looked for an alternative. This app is worth a couple bucks. Quicker downloads, better controls and I really like the book mark feature. Very happy with it.

Works great! Best podcast app out there!

Ive checked out many different podcast apps, and sone of them ever caught my enough to make using them a habit. Ive used iCatcher for quite a while after a friend recommended I try it and I cant imagine going back to the native podcast app or any other podcast app. The multiple high speed playback options are essential. Joe updates regularly and is always responsive to suggestions and questions. Cant recommend it enough.

Go to, do it all, bulletproof podcast app

Have been using this app in my dock for 4 years running. iOS 9 clocks this as 50% of my consumption; because its the most used feature of my phone.; Im in this app all day long for commuting, chores etc. Easy to use but customizable beyond measure. Works great with Bluetooth.

It just works

I switched to this a while back, when the stock Podcast app was modified beyond my liking. The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. iCatcher just works.

Best podcast app!!

Love this app!! Great podcast app!! Smooth ui and very nice to look at!!! Best podcast app for iPhone

Most customizable podcast app

Other apps may be simpler to use or prettier to look at... but with a little time and effort this app can be customized to work exactly the way you want it to, such as: 1) enabling streaming for the 3 podcasts in my morning commute playlist (but NO others so as to reduce data usage) 2) specifying the number of episodes to keep (both played and unplayed) on my device on a per podcast basis

The best podcast app

I purchased iCatcher Several years ago and have tried other apps but have always gone back to it. It always works perfectly and is always getting better

Excellent Podcast App - Use It Daily

This app is top notch! I use it every day and its been very reliable. Its full of features yet easy to use for both beginners & heavy podcast listeners. I highly recommend it!

Great playlist options

I tried the other apps but come back to iCatcher for the playlists. So many options for building smart playlists.

Simply the best

This is by far the best podcast app I have found out there. It does absolutely everything you may want, offers great gesture commands, and Joe is always helpful and friendly whenever I shoot him an email. Im a heavy podcast listener and whenever I find a new one I like I download the entire back catalogue in one go, the app handles it without a hitch - and the only time it did hiccup Joes support and the inbuilt backup were phenomenal. 100% recommended!!!

Daily Driver for Podcasts

➖ Pros: Regular updates Real time left i.e.: 20 min podcast @ 2x = 10min Tons of other features Been around for a good long time Responsive tech support Not a subscription model for pro i.e. $10/year Can import mp3 files manually ➖ Cons: User interface changes sometimes as they keep the app up to date, change can be hard but Im happy they update regularly. Occasional bug like all apps Can be a little confusing for older ones, but I still recommend it to them. ::previous reviews ----- Love this app. Continues to keep updates regular. Thank you! ----- Favorite new feature is how it shows the real time left for a podcast that youre listening to at 1.5x speed. ----- Ive been using this app for some time for podcasts. I appreciate that the developer has regular updates. When emailing support the help they give is top notch as well. Ive had many of my friends download this app for their podcast needs.

Perfect.

Ive run podcast apps since the very beginning of podcasts, and started using this app about 2 years ago. I was just thinking about contacting the developer to suggest what else could be added to it to make it better. I came up with nothing. I wondered if perhaps this is the perfect podcast player app??? There is another excellent podcast app out there with a similar red logo called Downcast that I also play with, but I keep coming back to this one. I can recommend the other one too, but... I still prefer this one more for my needs. It has a few additional features that I use daily. They both beats Apples default podcast player by a long shot!

Cool

Rad and cool and makes me drool.

UI Virtually Incomprehensible

If you want to listen to every episode of every podcast you subscribe to and dont want to customize your listening, this app is fine. Beyond that, the app is nearly unusable. The interface is unintuitive, and the instructions are confusing. Im sure the developer means well, and the app looks gorgeous on the surface, but it is, in my opinion, not the best choice for the discerning listener.

Excellent!

Ive tried a number of podcast apps (Apples, instacast, downcast, overcast, etc...) and this is definitely my favorite. I use it daily. The developer is responsive and continually adding new features. The additional features make it my go-to app for podcasts. Love the bookmark feature. I really like the Smart Speed feature in Overcast, now that developer has introduced ads, Im really hoping Joe can do something similar. Ill miss that feature from Overcast.

Best. Podcast. App.

I absolutely love this app. Its so easy to organize all the podcasts I listen to. I have a playlist with all my pods, plus another playlist for road trips with my husband that only has pods we both like. They update perfectly every time. Another feature I love is being able to trim time off the beginnings and ends of episodes, so you dont have to listen to theme songs or closing credits if you dont want to.

More people need to find out about iCatcher!

I have been searching for a pod catcher that works what way I want it to. Ive read all the reviews and downloaded all the usual suspects. I had been settling. I was getting by, but I kept thinking the only way Id get what was going to fill my needs would be to write it myself. Then somehow I stumbled upon iCatcher! Its the best one Ive found. The most stable and responsive pod catcher Ive used. It slurped up my 200+ podcast subscriptions from an OPML file and didnt even break a sweat. Several other apps would sit and churn with no user feedback for almost an hour. iCatcher tore through them and displayed the status of what it was working on all during the import. The others all seem to slow down and lag when theyre downloading and updating. But not iCatcher. The others will often crash and need to be restarted. Not iCatcher. The others say they sync your subscriptions across devices. But only iCatcher does it well enough for me to rely on it. If I were only allowed one third party app on my iPhone it would be this one. I dont usually ever give 5 stars to apps. I did this time.

Very good

I use this to listen to podcasts every day. Its easy to use and streamlines the process of listening to and enjoying my podcasts. Allows downloading or streaming of episodes.

Gestures baby, gestures

Thanks
